How To Build Motivation That Last

Success is about self-motivation. If you don’t have the courage to motivate yourself, no one is going to do it for you.

Self-motivation is going after what you want, even when you do not feel like doing it.

If you want to build motivation that last, according to Anthony J. Klarica, ‘Keep focusing on what you can do, putting energy into action to help ignite motivation.’ Do not waste your time on what you can’t do. It won’t help you.

‘Consider competence, autonomy and relatedness: think about what you are good at, how you can contribute and who you can connect with.’

Success is going to come from what you are good at, what you can do really well, not what you are not good at. If you are good at something, even if others don’t like it, you have got to go for it. Because no one succeeds at what they are not good at.

‘Celebrate what you do along the way. Don’t wait for the big achievements.’ When it comes to getting yourself going, nothing is too small to celebrate. No matter how small, always celebrate your wins.

‘Find passion, meaning and purpose in what you are doing.’ Before you do anything, know why you are doing it. Do not waste your time on things that are not getting you closer to where you want to be. If something is not making you happy, if you are not growing, stop it. Life is too short to waste.

And you must ‘Look beyond winning for motivation. An awareness that multiple motivators are in play enables you to recognise achievements and growth on your journey.’

Remember, you are the only one who can motivate you. If you want something, go for it. Now is your time. What are you waiting for?

As always, you are more, not less!

You Are Exhausted Because…

You think life is all about what you can get from other people.

You think life is all about you.

You think life is all about money, success.

You think you are better than other people.

You think you can win without the support of other people.

You think other people have to lose for you to win.

You don’t care about other people’s feelings, emotions, values.

Because it is all about what is in the game for you. Because it is about what you can get from others, not about what you can do for them.

You think the world is against you.

You think you can build a community alone.

You think you can win alone.

You never stop thinking about what is not there.

If you want to stop being exhausted, you must always check in with yourself, your inner self.
