4 Critical Ways To Find Out Who You Really Are

Who are you? What do you really want for yourself? What do you really want for your life? Why are you here? Do you know what you are good at? Do you know what you are not good at?

If you want to be successful in your life, you must focus on what you are good at. And to focus on what you are good at, you must first know who you are. Because you cannot be good at something if you do not know who you are.

If you don’t know who you are, you really can’t develop yourself.

So if you really want to make a difference in your life, here is how to go about it:

Go after what you want

If you can face what you want, you can develop yourself. If you can face what you really want for your life, you can grow yourself. But if you don’t know what you want, if you do not have the courage to face what you want, you can’t go for it. According to Barbara Sher, “You must go after your wish. As soon as you start to pursue a dream, your life wakes up and everything has meaning.” No matter how scary your dream may be, do not be scared to face it. Because if you do not have the courage to face your fears, you are not going to succeed.

Don’t play it too safe

If you want your life to change, if you want to change the direction of your life, you must NOT play it too safe. Do not be scared to make mistakes, to fail. People don’t try because they don’t want to fail. If you want to win, play it hard, not safe. Barbara Sher said, “When you play it too safe, you’re taking the biggest risks of your life. Time is the only wealth we’re given.” To succeed, you must take risks. If you fail, do it again.

Focus on the goodness within you

That is why you should always try to be around great people. When you are with great people, they will make you bigger than yourself. When you are with small-minded people, they will make you smaller than you really are.

To defeat people’s opinions of you, you must have the courage to focus on the goodness within you. You have it. All you need to do is to reconnect with your true self. Do not try to be good. You are great!

According to Eckhart Tolle, “You do not become good by trying to be good, but by finding the greatness that is already within you allowing that goodness to emerge.” You are already good. Do not try to convince other people to believe in you, in your dreams. Because other people cannot make you who you are not. Other people cannot give you what you cannot give yourself.

You already have what it takes to do great things in your life.

Focus on your inner stillness

You don’t here yourself because you do not listen to yourself. Your inner voice talks to you every day, but you never listen. You are always busy. You are always working, always jumping from place to place. You never find the time to listen to your inner voice.

Remember, you can’t hear if you do not listen. Eckhart Tolle said, “When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world.” It is good to listen to yourself. Do not be uncomfortable with yourself. When you connect with your inner life, you connect with your true self.
