Tell People How To Treat You

“Define your terms, you will permit me again to say, or we shall never understand one another.“- Voltaire, poet

“Define your terms.” Tell people how to treat you. You own your life. If you don’t have the courage to tell people how to treat you, they will abuse you. Do not settle for less. And do not be afraid to ask for what you want.

Dr. Phil says, “We teach people how to treat us.” We do it every day. We shut up instead of speaking up. You can make a choice today. To do that, you must first know what you want, your values, and where you are going. If not, it won’t work. And they will continue to tell us how to live our lives. Do you want that for yourself? I don’t.

If You Don’t Like Your Life, Paint A New One

“The whole fun of living is trying to make something better.”– Charles Kettering, inventor

You have what it takes to make your life better. You have what it takes to make your life better every day. Do not worry about yesterday’s mistakes. Focus on what you are doing right now. Now is all you need to build a better future. To do that, you must believe in your power to change your life. You can change your life today. Today. Now. Not tomorrow. Not next year. Now. If you don’t start now, when are you going to start?

Do not let fear stop you from painting a new life, a new image. Fear is small. You can walk past it. If you don’t like the life you are painting, you can change the color. If that doesn’t work, change the brush. If that doesn’t work, change how you view your paint.
