How To Take Responsibility For Your Life

“If it’s never our faults, we can’t take responsibility for it. If we can’t take responsibility for it, we’ll always be its victim.”- Richard Bach

Who is responsible for your life? Who is responsible for your happiness? Who is responsible for your growth and development? Who is responsible for your peace of mind? Who is responsible for healing your soul? Who is responsible for changing your life? Who is responsible for moving you forward? Who?

If you are honest with yourself, the question is not hard to answer. It is very simple. It is YOU. You are responsible for your life. Stop waiting for people to fix you. No one is responsible for your life. You are in charge of your life. You are the boss. You are in command. Don’t wait for your brother or your sister to fix you. You have what it takes to help yourself get better. You know what it takes to move your life forward. If you don’t know, ask. Don’t shut up. If you don’t ask, you won’t get. If you ask, you will get.

You are responsible for asking for what you want. If you don’t take responsibility for asking for what you want, no one will ask for you. No one. Not even your best friend. Aldous Huxley said, “We were left to go our way and take responsibility for our own affairs.” If you really mean business, you must take care of your own affairs.

We are here to depend on ourselves. We are not here to depend on anyone. It is okay to ask for help, but don’t depend on anyone. Depend on yourself. Do your own work. Grow your own garden. Live your own life. Don’t imitate anyone. Don’t compare yourself to others. Don’t compare your achievements with others. Your achievements are your achievements. Enjoy them.

If you don’t have the courage to take responsibility for your failure, you will be its victim. If you can’t look your fear in the face, you will be its victim. If you don’t want to be a victim, you must take responsibility for your life. There are no easy ways to live a better life. There are no easy ways to change your life. There are no easy ways to become who you want to be. The only way is to do your work. If you want to succeed in your life, you must do your own work. Are you ready to work? Are you ready to do whatever it takes to succeed?

Why You Cannot Depend On People To Change Your Life

“You cannot depend upon anybody. There is no guide, no teacher, no authority. There is only you- your relationships with others and the world- there is nothing else.”- Jiddu Krisnamurti

Why are you waiting for someone to change you when you have the power to change yourself? You have what it takes to change yourself. Don’t wait for people to do for you what you can do for yourself. If you wait, you are not being true to yourself.

“Change is not about cosmetic surgery; it is about soul surgery.”

Changing your life, yourself, is not about cosmetic surgery; it is about soul surgery. You cannot really change yourself if you don’t have the courage to change from the inside out. Change is internal, not external. Change starts with you.

“To live is to think and act, and to think and act is to change.”

James Allen

If want a real change, you must do it yourself. You must be honest with yourself. You must really commit yourself to changing what is not working for you. You know what is not working for you. No one can help you change yourself but you. It is in your hands.

Most people don’t like to change because they don’t want to upset their friends. If you don’t have the courage the face your change, change will face you. When change faces you, you will have no choice but to surrender. Change is letting go of what is hurting you. You will find it hard to change if you are not willing and ready to embrace change. Don’t be scared. Change is scary. But if you don’t change, if you don’t like change, how are you going to move from where you are now to where you want to be? Think about it.
