Where You Are Right Now Matters

‘… before you determine where you want to go in the world, there is one critical navigational element. You must first establish exactly where you are.’- Jim Stovall

He is right. It does not matter what you want to do in your life. If you don’t have a strong foundation, it is not going to work.

To take care of your future, you must not forget where you are. Remember, whatever it is that you are doing right now, you are preparing yourself for your future.

If you are playing right now, you are playing with your future. If you are studying, you are studying to make your future a better one. If you are hanging out with the right people, you making your future connections.

Small or big, do not play with what you are doing right now. They can make or break you.

Before you do anything, ask yourself, ‘Is this thing going to be helpful in the future?’ If what you are doing right now is not going to help you achieve your desired future, then stop doing it.

Because if you continue to do it, your life will never change. But if you stop doing it, things will start to change in your life. And your life will never be the same again.

It Is Not Enough To Get Busy

When it comes to life, time is the boss. When it comes to your growth and development, time is the master.

Time is time. Whether you know what you are doing or not, time is going.

Whether you are busy doing something, whether you are busy producing something, whether you are busy doing nothing, time is going to judge you.

You will get your result from time. But to get it, you must wake up. You must change with it. You must fly with it.

If you want to be successful, it is not enough to get busy. No, it is not enough. So many people are busy, but only a handful are getting things done.

If you are busy and you are not getting what you want, your boss is still mad at you, you can’t pay your bills, then it is time to change your daily habits. It means you are not busy doing the right things. It means you are putting the wrong things first. It means you are doing what is comfortable. It means you are hiding your weaknesses. And it means you do not know what you want.

Manage your time well. Do not abuse your time. Before you jump into anything, ask yourself, ‘Why am I doing this?’ If you can’t answer it, then stop it.

Because if you do not stop doing the wrong things, if you do not stop wasting your time, if you do not stop abusing your time, you will never get what you are looking for. You will never grow. You will never know what you do not know. Why?

Because it is not enough to get busy. You must put the right thing first. And you must do the right thing first.
