6 Important Things You Need To Know About A Courageous Person

It takes courage to live our lives. It takes courage to refuse what other people wants us to do. It takes courage to do what is not popular.
And above all, it takes to conquer ourselves.

Without courage, fear will eat us for breakfast. Without courage, small-minded people will steal our dreams away from us.

If you want to become a courageous person, someone who can put fear to a good use, then you have to do courageous things. You have got to leave your comfort zone. And you have got to have the spine to stand up for what you believe in. If not, fear will take over your life.

As for a person of courage, Swami Sivananda said, 'A man of courage does not tremble in the hour of danger.
He is not embarrassed and bewildered.
He does not sink down.
He is not overwhelmed by despair...
He smiles away all dangers and difficulties,
blows the trumpet of triumph and attains victory in the end.''

Learn To Conquer Yourself

In the words of Ferdinand Foch, “The will to conquer is the first condition of victory.” To conquer other people, you must first conquer yourself. You must develop the courage, the power to face yourself. Find the courage to be your true self. Don’t pretend to be who you are not. Don’t hide yourself. Give yourself the power to pursue your dreams, to defeat your fears, and to conquer yourself.

When you are faced with a problem, believe in yourself, face it, and move on. Don’t cry. Don’t complain. The Scripture says, “All things are possible to him who believes.” Just keep learning to be what you really are. According to Henri- Frederic Amiel, “Learn to … be what you are, and learn to resign with a good grace all that you are not.” From now on, resign from treating yourself badly. Resign from pretending to be who you are not. Because life is not about pretending; life is about loving. Life is about sharing. Life is about doing. If you are not learning to be what you are, you are learning to be who you are not. That is scary!
