Is it really possible to go through life without a single scar? Maybe, maybe not. Life is full of scars. Your job is to use your scar to get to the next level. Don’t use your scar to limit yourself. Use it to grow yourself. And to understand your scar, you must accept it. Because you cannot change or use what you don’t accept. Your scar is uniquely yours. So find a way to use it in a positive way.
Remember the old saying, “What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger.” Your scar will not kill you. Instead, your scar will make you better. But you must accept it.
Communication is not what you think it is. It is more than just talking. It is more than just nodding your head. It is more than forcing others to listen to you.
The world is in trouble because people don’t listen anymore. But we want others to listen to us. That is not going to happen. When it comes to communicating with other people, you must learn to listen to them. When you listen to people, you will hear them. They will hear you. But if you REALLY want people to listen to you, you must respect them. You must treat your message with love, happiness, and compassion.
“Communication is- start by understanding- your own understanding about people. Even though you want them to understand you, you know, it is- unless you understand people, it is almost impossible.”
Shunryu Suzuki
Communication is an emotional business. People pay attention to your emotions when you are talking. People pay attention to what you are not telling them. People want to listen to you. But you must make them comfortable.
If you want to be a good communicator, you must be a good listener. Because communication is about listening, not about talking.
The true meaning of communication is understanding. Before you say something, try to understand the true meaning, the hidden meaning of your message. People don’t care about what you say; they care about how you say it. If you want people to listen to you, you must understand them.
