According to Gretchen Rubin, “One of the best ways to make yourself happy is to make other people happy. One of the best way to make other people happy is to make yourself happy.”

We get what we give to other people. If you want to be happy, give happiness to other people.

When it comes to your happiness, don’t wait for other people to make you happy. It is not their duty to make YOU happy. It is your responsibility to make YOU happy.

Here are more lessons we can learn from happiness:

Marcus Aurelius said, “The happiness and unhappiness of the rational, social animals depends not on what he feels but on what he does.”

If you want to be happy, according to Mother Teresa, “Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.”

Be kind. To be really happy, Mother Teresa said,“Be kind to each other in your homes. Be kind to those who surround you.”

Make other people happy. “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.”– Mother Teresa

Don’t overthink things. Don’t worry about what you cannot change. If you can change it, do so. Buddha wrote, “Overthinking is the biggest cause of unhappiness.”

“The best way to make yourself happy is to create it for yourself.”

Don’t Worry

Don’t worry. Don’t worry about what other people are thinking of you. Just know that you are special. You are unique.

Don’t worry about where you are right now. It is temporary. It will change with effort. It will disappear with action.

Don’t worry about your past mistakes. They are dead and buried in the past. You are living in the present, so worry about the present.

Don’t worry about your future. It is just a dream.

Don’t worry about what you cannot do. Focus on what you can do. No one is perfect. Don’t worry.
