How To Live Your Life Without Losing Yourself

Whether you like it or not, you are responsible for your life. You are responsible for your future. Yes, you don’t have the power to change everything. But you do have the power to change yourself. That is what life is all about.

Life is all about change. The question is, ‘Are you changing to grow, or are you fighting to fit in?

The problem with change is that people change to fit in, not to grow. People change to make other people feel good about themselves, not to change what is not working for them.

Real change is about growth, not about trying to fit in. If that is you, you are not changing; you are holding yourself back. You are going to lose your own identity if you do not have the courage to challenge life, to live your life for yourself. You won’t be able to build your life if you do not have the courage to prepare yourself for your own greatness, for your own success. Remember, growth requires change. Success requires change. Life requires change.

If you want to stay in the game, you have got to embrace change. Embrace mistakes as sources of learning. Embrace where you are right now. Embrace change. Don’t get scared when change is in front of you. Do not run away from change. Because if you do, your situation will never change. You will get stuck in your own self-created rut.

If you want to get out of your own rut, you have got to embrace change. You have got to take risks. You have got to get out of your comfort zone. Because no one can move forward without embracing change. No one can do great things without embracing where they are. No one can make progress without first making peace with themselves.

And to make peace with yourself, you must first make peace with your soul. When your soul is happy, you are happy. Make peace with those around you. Because no one makes it alone in life. Accept what you can do. Because you are good at something. Accept what you cannot do. Because no one can do everything.

When things change, you change. Don’t stay the same. Don’t pray for things to go back to normal. You adapt. You live. Change yourself. Change when things are changing. You do not have to wait for the perfect time to reinvent yourself. You can do it anytime. The best time to change your life is when you are doing well, not when you are in trouble. The second best time to change your life is when things are running like a well-oiled machine. Don’t wait. Because life is not waiting. Time is not waiting. People are not waiting. Why are you waiting? What are you waiting for?

By reframing our approach to mistakes, we can fail our way to success.’

‘The more we expose ourselves to making mistakes in the pursuit of progress, the more opportunity we give ourselves to learn.’

Be patient with your transformation efforts; they take time, it is a ripple not a splash.’

When we understand there is a positive with every negative, when we inevitably encounter a negative, we know it is temporary and a positive experience is on the way.’

All crises, wars, pandemics, economic downturns are just negatives in a dynamic process, there is a positive on the way.’

‘When we realise the negative experience is a rite of passage on our journey toward success, we see the obstacles as milestones, not millstones.’
