To Understand Yourself Requires Patience. Do You Have It?

It takes time to really understand something, including you. We are quick to judge ourselves. We are good at pointing out what we are not good at. We love talking about our mistakes. We like to associate ourselves with people who think and act like us. Is that the way forward? Is that how to grow in life? Maybe, maybe not.

To know who you really are, you must be patient with yourself. You must tolerate yourself. You must be comfortable with both your mistakes and your ugly past. Yes, you must be comfortable with them. You can’t erase them just like that. They are part of your life. Instead of trying to erase your past, which is impossible, why not try to understand it. Why? When you understand your past, you can prepare for your present and your future.

“Be patient with yourself. You are growing stronger every day. The weight of the world will become lighter… and you will begin to shine brighter. Don’t give up.”

Robert Tew

No one can lead you to yourself REAL self. Only you can do that. If you don’t know yourself, you can’t change your life. You can do it. You must be comfortable with yourself. No one can make you comfortable with yourself but you. Why not do it. What are you waiting for?

Life is too short to waste. Don’t waste yours. It is your life. Make yourself comfortable with who you are. Don’t put yourself down. Always lift yourself up. To do that, you must be patient with yourself.

Never Let The Future Disturb You

If you want to enjoy the moment, do not let the future disturb you. Pay attention to what is going on in your world. If you don’t focus on the moment, you will miss the future and the present. You don’t want to do that to yourself, right?

Your future is important to you and to the world. But if you spend your precious time thinking about tomorrow, you will miss what is happening around you. If you don’t know what is happening around you, how can you prepare yourself for a better future? How can you do that?

According to Marcus Aurelius, “Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapon which today arm you against the present.” If you want to have a better future, you must focus on what you are doing now. Are you?
