How To Handle Self-Doubt

You are free to doubt yourself. But do not give in to it. When you feel it, express it. When it shows up, acknowledge it.

Do not try to supress it. When you do, you are not helping yourself. You are just extending your pain.

Self-doubt is not going to go away by trying to pretend it is not there. It is there.

When it shows up, ask yourself, ‘When I experience self-doubt, how do I respond?’

Do you cry? Hide? Run away? Shy away?

The best way to handle self-doubt is to see self-doubt as something that we must face, something that we must overcome, if we are to move forward.

When you feel it, do not ignore it. Self-doubt is normal. It is not here to stop you from achieving your dreams.

Use it to strengthen your dreams. Use it to strengthen your life. Do not give in to it.

Do not accept it. Why is that? Because you are good enough. You are powerful enough to handle your own life.

Your self-doubt is trying to tell you that ‘you are not good enough.’ That is not true. You are good enough. You can do whatever it is that you want to do. Take on what you can do.

Focus on what is important to you. When you do that, self-doubt cannot stop you from moving forward.

The question is, ‘When self-doubt shows up, what are you going to do?’

How?

Have Patience With Yourself

"Have patience with every one, but especially with yourself."- Francis de Sales, Bishop of Geneva
If you want to achieve great things in your life, do not rush the process. Patience is powerful. It is stronger than you think. If you have it, there is nothing you cannot achieve.

"He that can have patience can have what he will."- Benjamin Franklin

Things will happen when the time is right. You can't force things to happen. Life is patience.
And with patience, you can see what is going on around you. You can see what is going on within you. With patience, you can ask yourself the right questions. You can see through yourself.

Why? Because you are not in a hurry. You are with yourself. You are right in the moment. When you are in the moment, you can focus on what is.
And it takes patience to live in the moment. And it takes patience to work with other people. And it takes patience to be yourself, to discover who you are, to figure out what you like, to figure out what you do not like, and to face your life.
If you want to conquer yourself, do not rush the process. Just be patient with yourself.
