What you do, do with all your might

To enjoy your work is to love it. If you don’t love what you do, you can’t be happy doing it. Friend, whatever it is that you do for a living, take it seriously. It matters. What you do matters. Take pride in what you do. It does not matter what you do. What matters is you feel about it. What matters is how you are doing your job. What matters is what the job is giving you.

In the words of Marcus Tullius Cicero, “Whatever you do, do it with all your might.” Whether you are a CEO or a cleaner, your job matters. Respect what you do, and you will find happiness in it.

People are not happy with their jobs because they don’t believe in what they are doing. They don’t believe in their jobs. The CEO’s job is not better than yours. If you think so, think again.

If you want to make your own job meaningful, change how you think, see, and do your job. Everything is all about perception. If you think your job is bad, it is bad. If you think your job is the best, it is the best. Make your job the best, and you will enjoy it.

Forget Yourself In The Process

There is joy in helping other people. There is connection in helping other people. There is life in helping other people. There is happiness in helping other people. There is.

As Anne Frank famously put it, “No one has ever become poor by giving.” That is right. When you help other people discover who they are, when you help other people find happiness in their lives, when you help other people achieve greatness, you are helping yourself. There is life in helping others. It will come back to you.

You will enjoy helping others if you are not expecting anything in return. You will enjoy helping others if you forget yourself in the process. If not, you are going to be exhausted, because no one will be able to pay you back what you have given to them. You will enjoy helping others if you just do it.

Whatever it is that you do, forget yourself in it. Forget yourself in the process, in the game, and you will enjoy the game. Don’t think of what will go wrong, don’t worry about the outcome, don’t worry about why you are even doing it, just do it! Just focus on the process, and you will never regret doing it.

When you help people, just help. Be a helper. The world needs more helpers.

Be a helper. You can help in a big way; you can also help in a small way. Help other others, and others will help you. Serve others, and others will serve you. When you do it, remember to forget yourself in the process.
