To get what we want from life, we must first know what we want. Most people want something but they don’t know how to get them.

You will be successful if you know what you want.

You will be successful if you know how to get what you want.

You will be successful if you focus on getting what you want.

You can get what you want if you believe you can. Napoleon Hill said, “You can do it if you believe you can.”

You can really be successful if you can just do more than you are paid to do. Do more than you are paid to do. Don’t do what others are doing. Do what you think is right, and what will push you closer to your dream. Again, Napoleon Hill said, “Render more service than that for which you are paid and you will soon be paid for more than you render. The law of ‘increasing returns’ takes care of this.”

Let us look at more ways you can get the best that you so much deserved in life.

Take responsibility.

When you take responsibility for your actions, you are giving yourself power to conquer other bigger and more challenging things ahead of you. But if you blame other people for your actions, you are giving your power away. Don’t blame anyone. Take responsibility for your actions.

“You must accept responsibility for your actions, but not the credit for your achievements.”- Denis Waitley

Act!

To get what you want in life, act! Don’t wait for the perfect time to do it. Do it today. If you don’t take action to change your life, your life will not change.

“Don’t watch the clock, do what it does. Keep going.”– Sam Levenson

Stop procrastinating.

Your success will not come from putting important things off until tomorrow. Your success will come from doing the first and the most important things first. Don’t procrastinate.

Arthur Ashe said, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”

Failure is not final.

If you fail at something, don’t take it as final. It is not final, and it will never be. It is okay to fail when you are finding the right path to success. If you want to be successful, you must be comfortable with failure.

As Margie Warrell put it, “Just because you fail at something does not mean you’re a failure.”

Be patient.

It takes 10- 20 years to be lucky. If you want to be lucky, you must be patient. Success goes to those who are patient, not those who are always running. Be patient. Success is a process, not by accident.

“Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.”– Arthur Ashe

Think positively about things.

No matter what is happening around you, focus on the positive things. When you focus on positive things, you will attract positive things into your life. When you focus on negative things, you will attract negative things into your life.

“We are not permitted to choose the frame of our destiny. But what we put into it is ours.”- Dag Hammarskjold, economist

Everything is possible if you want it badly. Focus on what you want and you will get it.

You Deserve To Be Happy

You deserve to be happy. You are here on earth to discover your true self, and to be happy. Happiness is a personal thing. Happiness is unique. What makes you happen will make another person sad. Happiness is not without suffering, pain, or challenges. Happiness is not pain free.

Happiness is responsibility, accountability, and discipline. If you want to be happy, focus on what matters to you, to your life, to your family, and to your community. Dedicate yourself to something bigger than yourself, your ego, or your career. As Hannah Arendt said, “Dedicate yourself to the good you deserve and desire for yourself. Give yourself peace of mind. You deserve to be happy. You deserve delight.” If you want to be really happy, take care of your mind. Don’t let your mind be poisoned by the negative thoughts that you let into your mind. Everything starts in the mind. A happy mind is a happy person.

Real happiness starts in the mind. According to the above quote, “Give yourself peace of mind.” A peaceful mind is a happy person. If your mind is not at peace, you cannot be happy. Because what you are experiencing outside is a reflection of what is happening inside. In other words, your mind controls your actions. Your mind control your behavior. Don’t let negativity mess up your mind. if you do that, your happiness will be at risk of contamination.

“A happy mind is a happy person.”

You deserve to be happy. Yes, you deserve to be happy. But it is not going to happen if you don’t take responsibility for your actions. WHY? Because responsibility is growth, and growth is happiness, and happiness is life. If you are not happy, you are not living. Pat Summitt said, “Accountability is the essential to personal growth, as well as team growth. How can you improve if you’re never wrong? If you don’t admit a mistake and take responsibility for it, you’re bound to make the same one again.”

“If you are not happy, you are not living.”

Accountability is important if you are to be happy. When you hold yourself accountable for your OWN mess, you will learn form it, you will grow in life, you will grow in wisdom, and you will know how to handle the same situation, if in fact, it happens again. You are here on earth to grow, to multiply, to add value to your life and to the lives of the people around you. To make your community a better community. But if you don’t take responsibility for your own mess, how do you expect yourself to be happy? I don’t know. Maybe you know. If you know, let me know, too.

You deserve to be happy! Period.
