Wake up! You can make a difference in your life. To do that, you must master the following things.

Do not be scared to try something new, something that you have never done before.

‘You are unprepared to do something before you’ve done it.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

No one knows everything. We are still learning. If you want to get something done, do not expect to master everything before you start. Start before you even know what you are doing. You will learn as you go.

You will never be perfect

‘You’re not going to be able to do everything perfectly, but you will be able to do some things really well. That’s good. It’s more than good; it’s enough.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

No one is perfect, not even you. Do not expect it. Because it is not going to happen. If you want to grow your life, focus on progress.

Plan your day

‘The point of planning isn’t to schedule every moment of your days. The point of planning is so we don’t have something to do every moment of our days.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

If you do not plan your day, your day is going to plan you.

Focus on one thing at a time

You don’t have to occupy a real life and an online life at the same time all the time.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

If you want to get a lot done, do not do more than one thing at a time. Why? Because your brain is not programmed to do more than one thing at a time. You will get more than when you focus on one thing.

Do not be scared to screw up

‘You will make mistakes. You get to make mistakes. But you don’t have to keep making the same mistakes.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

No matter how smart you are, you will learn a lot from your mistakes. When they happen, ask yourself, ‘What can I take away from them?’

Use your time wisely

‘You have exactly enough time for the things that matter to you.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

Do not waste your time. Do what matters first. Remember, you are not going to be here forever. Think about that.

Pay attention to what you are doing

‘Wherever you are on your journey, progress is possible.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

Where you are right now is where you are supposed to be. So pay attention to what is going there.

Whatever you want to do, now is the right time to start

‘Today you are going to take a small step forward so that five years from now you will look back and think, Wow, look how far I have come.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

Whatever you want to do, if you do not do it now, when are you going to do it?

Be brave

‘You are brave not because you don’t feel fear. You are brave because you feel fear. Being brave isn’t avoiding the tough situations; it’s recognizing them and figuring out how to get through them.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

Brave people face tough situations. So, if you want to be successful, you have got to be brave. Be fearless, but not arrogant. Be brave, but not careless.

Be flexible

‘Do not associate changing direction with failure! If you don’t reach your exact goal but you end up somewhere else, that is still worthwhile and valuable.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

Do not get stuck with what is not working. If it is not working, then go for what is working, or what you like to do. Remember, there are more than one way to get to a place. Choose your own way. And you will get there.

It is okay to lose

‘When you stop working toward something that doesn’t interest you or excite you, you don’t lose. You gain! You gain the time and energy to find the thing that you’re actually going to connect to.’- Elise Blaha Cripe

If you want to achieve greatness, your own greatness, do not be scared to lose. Because losing is winning. When you lose one thing, you gain another.

6 Keys To Your Own Success

Success knows no boundaries. Success is a team work. You can’t do it alone. You need other people to help you grow. But if you really want to be successful, you have got to master yourself. You have got to master your inner life. And you have got to be true to yourself. And these six keys can help you if you follow them.

Do not be scared to make your own decisions for your life.

‘You have to start by making decisions for your life, not your parent’s lives, not your friend’s lives, not your partner’s life, not your peers’ lives.”- Brianna Wiest

If you are not in charge of your own decisions, what makes you think you are going to be successful?

Be comfortable with discomfort.

‘Discomfort, much like anger, grief, and jealousy, is a healthy human emotion that communicates something to us. It’s not the feeling itself that’s unhealthy, but that we do not know what to do with it when it arises.”- brianna Wiest

Nothing great is comfortable. So if you want to achieve great things in your life, you have got to be comfortable with discomfort.

Be consistent.

‘You can’t keep changing your plans, your strategy, or your goals, and expect to get anywhere significant.”- Brianna Wiest

If you want to be successful in your life, you have got to be consistent. Stay with what you are doing. But if it is not working, then check what is going on. Maybe you are missing something.

Do not waste your energy on things that don’t matter to you.

‘Don’t waste your most potent energy on things that drain you.”- Brianna Wiest

Stay away from things that are not getting you closer to your dreams. Stay away from people who are not for your dreams. If you are around them, you will never achieve your dreams. Why? Because they are dream killers.

Trust yourself

‘To trust yourself means that you will dare to step forward, despite all odds, no matter what’s up against you, no matter what forces may be at work. To trust yourself means that you are no longer content to lodge your soul in the circumstances that have longed stopped serving you. To trust yourself means that you will no longer accept fear reprogramming you, reorienting your values and changing your perspective to one that is simply holding you back.”- Brianna Wiest

Life will throw horrible things at you, but do not give up. Trust yourself. And believe that you can face them.

Be kind to yourself.

‘Being kind to yourself is often doing the thing you least want to do.”- Brianna Wiest

We get better when we do the thing we don’t want to do. We get ahead in life when we do what others don’t want to do, when we go to places that others don’t want to go, when we read books that others don’t want to read, and when we get out of our comfort zones.
