With yourself, with your soul, you cannot lose any fight, no matter where you are. To be comfortable with yourself, you must listen to your soul.
To do that, here are 6 thoughts that will help you “garden the soul.”
You can’t control everything. “There is little in our lives that we have full control over, even if we try. But we can control the way we think and our attitudes, and these can change everything.”– Sister Stanislaus Kennedy
Life is bigger than you. For that reason, if you want happiness, you must focus on what you can control.
Take care of your self-esteem “With self-esteem, we cannot lose, no matter what we lose. When we have a sense of ourselves, no one can best you. Conversely, when we take away people’s self-esteem then we have taken their all.” – Sister Stanilaus Kennedy
Without your self-esteem, you are nothing. It is all you have. Do let anyone put you down. Do whatever you can to take care of your self-esteem. One way is to do what gives you courage, what makes you happy.
Give yourself permission to do more “We must give ourselves permission to go overboard sometimes. If we attack ourselves for going off course, we cannot learn from our mistakes.”– Sister Stanislaus Kennedy
If you want to learn from your mistake, you must give yourself permission to fail. Because if you are not falling, if you are not failing, you are not doing enough. You are playing it too safe. Do not play to lose, play to make more mistakes.
Do not resist change. “…We cannot settle into complacency but must be always ready to grow. But we do not always allow ourselves to grow. We resist change, and that means we resist grwoing into our true selves.” – Sister Stanislaus Kennedy
The number one enemy of growth is complacency. It is comfortable, but it is not profitable. Our souls like change. They like new things. So if you want to stimulate your soul, do not resist change. Because we grow when we change. Conversely, we die when we do not change. So to be alive, you must embrace change.
It takes time to do great things. “Anything that is forced or rushed is not whole.” – Sister Stanislaus Kennedy
Some people are not happy because they cannot control their thoughts. They take more than they can chew. They are not consistent. Look, whatever you want to do in your life, if you want it to grow, you have got to be patient with yourself. It takes patience to do great things.
Accept yourself. “Acceptance of ourselves is the beginning of personal growth and transformation.” – Sister Stanislaus Kennedy
Self-acceptance is the beginning of your life, of your growth, of your hqppiness. Look, do not worry about how you look. Just celebrate the fact that you are still alive. That is good enough for you. That is good enough to make you whole. We all have something we don’t like about ourselves. If you think you are alone in the universe of imperfection, you are wrong! Love yourself, no matter what.
