6 Steps To Take Responsibility For Your Life And Stop Making Excuses

If we want to be great in life, no matter what we do, responsibility is the way. Because the more we blame other people for our OWN mistakes, the more we will continue to move backward.

Don’t blame, just act. Stop blaming people. They are not the problem, you are. Taking responsibility for your own life makes you stronger, smarter, not weaker.

Instead of complaining, blaming others, why not find out why you are where you are. Do your own self assessment. See if you can find anything. If you can honestly stand in front of your mirror and say, “I am going to change my life,” you are on your way to doing just that.

Know this: “Taking responsibility is not going to be easy, but you can do it.” The change that you are looking for is not going to happen over night. But if you can persist, you will win the fight.

Your life is in your own hands. You can change anything if you want to. So let us look at how you can move from where you are now to where you want to be:

Stop making excuses. If you want to change your situation, you must accept change. You must be willing and ready to take the steps necessary to change your life. It is easier to make excuses than it is to make a change. If you change, everything will change. Do it one step at a time.

Set realistic goals for yourself. Set your own goals. Do not set goals that you cannot make happen. If you do that, then you are not ready for a change.

Don’t procrastinate. Procrastination is a dream killer. If you want to get things done, you MUST fight against this disease. It is a disease! Do whatever you need to do today. When it comes to your dreams, when it comes to taking actions, there is no tomorrow. Do it today!

Believe in yourself. The key to success is self-belief. Because what you believe about yourself will dictate how you are going to pursue your dreams. If you believe in yourself, there is nothing you cannot achieve. No matter what, don’t stop believing in your self.

Be active. Once you have made the decision to change your life, do not sit back and expect things to just happen. It is not going to be like that. You must get up and start going. It does not matter where you are going, but keep going. You must go after your dreams, not your dreams coming after you. Do not wait for people to come and help you. Believe me, they will not come to you. You have got to go find them.

Stay positive. When you are going after your dreams, do not for one second think that you cannot do it. You can do it! But you have got to give yourself time to mess up, to make mistakes, to fail. It is okay for all of those things to happen, but never stop staying positive. Always focus your attention on the best in every situation. If you can do that, you can change your life.

Relax Your Mind

“Mind, thought, and life are inseparable…” If you want to take care of your life, your work, your health, your relationships, you MUST first take care of your mind.

As I wrote before, “A healthy mind is a healthy body.” You cannot have a healthy life if your mind is not healthy. That is not possible. Only a healthy mind can produce a healthy body. Only a relaxed mind can produce a healthy life. If your mind is not relaxed, you can’t focus in the moment. Only a relaxed mind can focus in the moment.

If your mind is not relaxed, you cannot stay in the moment. You cannot focus on what matters to you. You cannot do what you are asked to do, because your mind is not with you. You are busy thinking about irrelevant things. A busy mind is like a butter fly. It never stops flying.

When your mind is relaxed, you are more creative. You are more aware of your environment. You are more connected to your inner self than when your mind is all over the world.

Free your mind. Declutter your mind. If you want to relax your mind, appreciate every moment of your life. Find time to create those moments when you are not thinking about anything, and just enjoy whatever it is you are doing.

To really relax your mind, you must learn to let go of irrelevant thoughts. Let them come, and let them go. Don’t worry about anything. Just enjoy the moment! Forget about what you are going through, and just concentrate on what is in front of you. Because every moment is special. Every moment is important. If you miss it, you will never get it back.

You are the master of your mind. If you can’t control your mind, who will? No one. And if you cannot control your mind, you can’t control anything. Because your mind is your life. Without a great mind, without a healthy mind, without a relaxed mind, there is no life.
