Are You Too Afraid To Try All Things?

What are you afraid of? What do you really like to do but you are too scared to face it? What is it that you cannot stop thinking about? Whatever it is that you are too scared to face, that thing is what you should be doing.

That is where you should be. That is what you should be learning about. And that is what you should never stop talking about. Why is that? Because God knows what you want to do with your life.

You are not in charge of your dreams. God is in charge of your dreams. You are not in control of your life. God is in control of your life.

When you are always after something, even when you do not know how you are going to get it done, even when you do not know how you are going to get there, but you just can’t let it go, that is God talking to you.

Listen! If not, you will miss it. Remember, God doesn’t scream. He whispers.

I do not know what you want to achieve in your life. Whatever it is, do not be too scared to face it. If you don’t face what you want, you will never get it.

But if you commit to it, if you bring it before God, if you do the work, if you are patient, if you stay open to what is possible, if you have the courage to do your best work, no matter the situation, nothing can stop you from getting to where you want to be.

To get to where you want to be, you must, according to Iyanla, ‘remain open to testing what you already know.’

To face your fears, to bring your dreams to life, you must ‘remain open to being guided, supported and protected by the universe. And you must ‘remain open to knowing things that you don’t already know.’

Whether you have the courage to push yourself forward or not, remember,

‘You are more, not less!

Before you do what other people are doing, ask yourself, ‘Is this the right thing for me?’ If it is not, then stay away. Do not do it.

Remember that ‘Culture changes; God doesn’t’ ‘If we don’t want to compromise our faith but we do want to influence our culture, then we must follow God first.’

When things are not going well, when we are faced with others, don’t get scared. Because you are not alone. God is with you.

When faced with cultural pressure, don’t compromise your faith or the opportunity to influence the world for God’s kingdom.’ When things are tough, don’t play with your faith. It is all you have.

‘Look for opportunities to build bridges and care for people every chance you get.’

‘The moment you make engaging with other people about ‘being right,’ you need to stop and check your heart.’

‘We should do as Jesus did and keep the standards high and the grace deep.’

‘Because each and every person has a spirit and is made in the likeness of God, they will always be on a spiritual journey.’

‘The secret of influence isn’t what you say; it’s how you live.’

‘In Jesus’ eyes, there are no outsiders. … God doesn’t play favorites, and neither should we.’

‘The more time we spend with Him, the more others can see him through our words and actions.’

‘If we let God change us, it’s not only good for us but for the world around us.’

‘Sometimes those who consider themselves the ‘least likely to succeed’ become the most likely to touch the world around us.’

‘We have to earn someone’s respect before we can build a relationship. And we have to have relationship before we can have influence.’

‘People don’t care what you know; first, they want to know that you care.’

‘Jesus connected with people before he corrected them.’

If you want to influence people, connect with them.
