“If peace is to be secure, long-suffering and long-starved,
forgotten peoples of the world, the underprivileged
and the undernourished, must begin to realize without delay
the promise of a new day and a new life.”

Do not worry about the past. It is gone. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “There is nothing that waste the body like worry, and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever.” The past is important. Do not worry about it. All you have to do is to learn from your past experiences. Use your past experiences to shape your future. Because life is in the future, not in the past.
If you want to enjoy the moment, you must do everything within your power to put your past behind you. Nikolai Berdyaev was right when he said, “What one needs to do at every moment of one’s life is to put an end to the old world and to begin a new world.” You have only one life to live. Don’t use it to worry about your past. Don’t live in the past. If you do, you will miss your present.
