Why Making Mistakes Is Good For You

‘When you realize a mistake wasn’t that big of a deal … then it wasn’t that big of a deal.’- Lia Garvin

If we are to grow, making mistakes is the way forward. Mistakes are important. They are important because we are all learners.

Mistakes are important. Because you do not know everything. Remember that the end of one thing is the beginning of another one.

When you start something new, because you have not done it before, your way forward is going to be through making mistakes.

You can’t avoid making mistakes. When you make yours, remember that it is not about you. It is about what you are doing. It has nothing to do with you. But it has everything to do with what you are doing.

If you want to learn, you must accept making a mistake as part of the game. If you want to improve your life, make yourself vulnerable. That is, when you make a mistake, do not make it about you. Because it is not.

Are You Enjoying The Game?

If yes, you are doing the right thing. If you are not enjoying your game, what is going on?

Do not get discouraged. Do not get frustrated. Because you are not done. It is just the beginning.

Do not give up. Life is about competition. But the best one is when you compete with yourself. If you want peace of mind, don’t compete with other people.

Why is that? Because we are not perfect. Because you are not perfect. You are not good at everything. You have your weaknesses. You have your strengths.

No matter how smart you are, someone out there is smarter than you. No matter how successful you are, someone out there has more than you.

That is why, according to Joel Comm, ‘the key is to enjoy the game.’
