Princess Diana said, “I don’t want expensive gifts; I don’t want to be bought. I have everything I want. I just want someone to be there for me, to make me feel safe and secure.” Don’t think you know what people need. No, you don’t. If you want to know what they want, ask them. If you ask, they will tell you. Money is good, but not everything in life. Money can make you feel good about yourself. But money can’t buy you real happiness. Real happiness comes from within you. It does not depend on how much you have in your bank account. Happiness doesn’t care about your bank account. It cares about your heart.

If you think you can buy happiness, you have a lot of work to do. Why is that? Because happiness is not for sale. Happiness is free. It doesn’t depend on your wealth. Stop chasing happiness. You don’t look for happiness. Do the right thing, happiness will come to you. So if you want to be happier, you must focus on what makes you happy. If you can’t make yourself happy, you can’t make other people happy. Why? Because you can’t give what you don’t have. In order to make other people happy, you must first plant the seeds of happiness.
