Why Are You Still In Your Comfort Zone?

Why are you still in your comfort zone? Is it because you are comfortable in your comfort zone, or you are afraid to get out of your comfort zone?

People stay in their comfort zones because they are afraid to get out. They are afraid of the unknown.

Fear is a negative picture of where you are going- the future. Fear paints a negative picture in your mind. It reminds you of your past fears. Fear of becoming. Fear of failure. Fear of poverty. Fear of criticism. Fear of death. Fear of ill-health. Fear of taking risks. Fear of talking to people. Fear of change. Fear of living or working with other people. Fear of taking initiatives. These fears prevent us from reaching our goals.

You can overcome these fears.

How?

First, Know what you want to achieve. Know your purpose in life. The more you focus on achieving your dreams, the more fear will leave you alone. As Dennis Waitley once said, “Winners are people with definite purpose in life.”

Second, You can overcome these fears by changing your mindset. Instead of focusing on your fears, focus on how you are going to achieve your dreams. Focus on what is possible. Don’t dwell on what is not possible. If you do, you are wasting your time. Whatever you focus on will grow. It will become your reality. Henry Miller Said, “The moment one give close attention to anything, even a blade of grass it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.” Focus on your goals, not on your fears.

Third, Take action. Instead of procrastinating, instead of talking, take the necessary actions to change your life. Take action to change your situation. It is yours to do. Don’t be scared to do what you are afraid of. Do what you are afraid of. Stick to it. Keep doing it until you are comfortable with it. Don’t stop. Fear will surrender. Rabindranath Tagore, poet, said, “You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.”

Finally, As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Do the thing we fear, and the death of fear is certain.”
