Face Your Fears. Don’t Hide Behind Perfection

We don’t want to be perfect. We are scared. We don’t want to face the elephant in the room.

Look, if you want to grow, it is not going to come from anywhere. It is going to come from what you are avoiding.

To conquer your fear, you must face it. Start small. Try something new. Meet new people. Do something that is outside of your comfort zone. No matter how you feel about it, it is only going to get better.

Do not wait anymore. You have a lot to do. Waiting is not one of them. According to Mary Poffenroth, ‘When we wait to share our work or ourselves witht the world until perfection is reached, we’ll always be waiting. Perfection is desirable because it feels safe.’

Go for progress. Perfection is a temporary fix to a long-term problem. Do not do that. It is better to fail at something than it is to get stuck.

Whatever it is that you are trying to complete, do one small thing every day. The more you do, the closer you get to where you are going.

The question is, ‘Will you?’

As always, you are more, not less!

Because ‘Perfection isn’t possible, but transformation is.’

Because ‘remembering our intention gives us the crucial pause between our reaction and our response so that we can gain perspective, reconnect with our heart, and choose how we want to proceed.’

‘The most important thing is to remember the most important thing.

‘You must be present to win.’
