The Cost Of Being Right

‘… Even when you’re right announcing you’re right doesn’t make you more right.’- Lia Garvin

If you want to advance your life, do not fight to be right. Because people don’t like to around people who are always right.

Do not fight to be right. Fight to be valuable. Fight to be great at what you are doing. Fight to be yourself, not to be right.

When you are dealing with other people, do not fight to be right. Instead of trying to be right, look for ways to add value to them.

Being right is not going to get you far in your life. It is going to hold you back from reaching your destination. Because no one wants to be around people who are always right.

If you want to grow your life, focus on getting better, not on being right.

Your Inner Critic Is Not Against You

‘Our inner critic hates when we set goals, it’s literally like, ‘Who is this bitch to tell me what to do.’- Lia Garvin

Listen to what you are hearing from your inner self. If you do not have the courage to hear yourself, to make peace with what you are hearing from your inner self, you are not going to know what is going on in your life.

Whatever your inner critic is telling you to do, do not just brush it aside. Listen to it. Explore it. If it makes sense to you, if it is going to increase your life, if it is going to make you a more valuable person, then go for it.

But if it is against you, your life, your dreams, then you don’t need to feed it. Let it go.
