When Things Are Tough, Return To This

‘Return to your main purpose during difficult periods.’- Clive Lewis

When things are tough, when things are not going well, we get frustrated.

But getting frustrated is not the solution. The solution is to focus on why you are doing what you are doing.

If you can focus on your why, the solution is right in front of you.

If you are stuck, if you do not know what to do, don’t get frustrated. Instead of getting frustrated, why not ask yourself, ‘What am I doing wrong?’

‘Why am I not getting what I want?’ ‘What is going on?’ ‘How am I going to move myself forward?’

Remember, it is not enough to ask questions. If you want things to change, you must be willing to put your questions to work.

You must be willing to do things differently. You must be willing to challenge yourself.

No matter what is going on in your life, if you are willing to pay the price, you can have the prize.

Are you willing to pay the price?

Why People Don’t Respect You

‘Respect is a two-way street.’ if you want other people to respect you, you must go first. When you respect people, they will respect you back.

Respect is about trust. People are not going to respect you if they don’t trust you. And that is one of the reasons people don’t respect you. But you can change it.

If you want people to respect you, you must do the following:

Respect yourself. When you respect yourself, people will respect you.

Trust yourself. When you trust yourself, when you always do what you say you are going to do, people will trust you. They are not going to respect you if they don’t trust you.

Be there for others. People are going to respect you if they know you are for them, you have their best interests at heart.

So if you want people to respect you, be comfortable being yourself.
