It Does Not Matter Who Is Ahead At One Time Or Another

In the words of Harry S. Truman, “It isn’t important who is ahead at one time or another in either an election or horse race. It’s the horse that comes in first at the finish line that counts.” What a powerful quote!

If you want to win in life, run your own race. Running because other people are running is not the best way to win in life. You are your own self. Your purpose in life is different. You are here to live, not compare yourself to other people.

It does not matter who is ahead at one time or another. What really matters is what you are doing. If you focus on why you are here on this earth, you will win. Remember, it is never too late to follow your path. It is not how you start that matters, but how you finish.

Whatever you are doing, all you need to do is focus on why you are doing it. Even if other people don’t like it, if you like it, if you know why you are doing it, that is good enough. That is all you need to complete your race.

Life is not about comparison; it is about living your own life. According to Theodore Roosevelt, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Don’t compare yourself to other people. Why? Because they are not perfect. They have their own problems to worry about. Don’t ever think you are the only person with multiple problems. You are not.

Before you start comparing yourself to other people, ask yourself this question: Why am I comparing myself to other people? Are we pursuing the same thing? Are they living my life? If not, stop comparing yourself to others. Always compare yourself to yourself.

If you want to make yourself unhappy, compare yourself to others. If you want to make yourself happy, compare yourself to yourself.

Why You Should Stop Carrying Useless Burdens

As the saying goes, “Life is too short.” Instead of living our lives to the fullest, we are wasting our lives carrying useless burdens. We are breaking our backs. We don’t know how to enjoy life anymore. We are are always trying to catch up.

Let go of useless thoughts. Let go of anger. Let go of resentment. Let go of doubt. Let go of low self-worth. Let go of the things that are poisoning your mind, your life. Don’t hold on to them. They are poisonous. They will make you unhappy. They will contaminate your life. They will contaminate your water. The water of life. If you don’t have the water of life, you have nothing.

According to Orison Swett Marden, “The trouble with all of us who are struggling with unhappy or unfortunate conditions is that we have separated ourselves in some way from the great magnetic center if creation. We are not thinking right, and so we are not attracting the right things. Think the things you want.”

Just let them go! If you don’t, they will let you go. And when they let you go, the world will never be the same again. Don’t carry them. Let them go!
