Why You Must Stop The Lies You Tell Yourself

‘When we courageously take steps toward unlearning the lies and gaining awareness of the truths, and assessing the impact of living our lives in ways that are inauthentic, disconnected, numb, people-pleasing, and out of alignment with who we truly are, we begin our journey of going from unseen to seen. From invisible to visible. From disconnected to connected. From doubting ourselves to trusting ourselves. From craving love to realizing we already are … love.’- Jamie Kern Lima

Embrace your life. Do not disconnect from your true self. Life is too short. You are here to live your life. Do not waste it. Help people, but don’t try to please them. It won’t work. Because you can’t please everybody.

Instead of trying to please people, why not focus on making yourself happy? You can do it. It is possible.

4 Learning Lessons From Xun Zi

“Learning is life. Life is learning. If you are not living, you are not learning enough. If you are not growing, you are not learning enough”

Xun Zi, Chinese Confucian philosopher

Here are 4 important learning lessons from Xun Zi

Think, Think, Think.

“The learning of the gentleman enters through his ears, fastens to his heart, spreads through his four limbs, and manifests itself in his actions. … The learning of the petty person enters through his ears and passes out his mouth. From mouth to ears is only four inches- how could it be enough to improve a whole body larger than that.”- Xun Zi

Everything is connected

“In order to properly understand the big picture, everyone should fear becoming mentally clouded and obsessed with one small section of truth.”- Xun Zi

Always examine yourself on the inside

“It is simply that when one examines oneself on the inside, external goods carry little weight.”- Xun Zi

No matter where you are, no matter what you are going through right now in your life, always do the right thing.

“If an action … involves little profit but much righteousness, do it.”- Xun Zi
