According to Dr. Stan Tatkin, ‘Relationship does not actually exist except in our own heads. If either of you say it is frail, then it is. If either of you say it won’t work, then it won’t. If either of you say it is not strong enough to handle who you both are, then it must be so. If it is actually true that your relationship won’t work, or your partner will not cooperate, or your partner will ‘never’ come through- you’d better be ready to exit the relationship, otherwise your negativity is a problem.’
