How To Face What You Cannot Change

If you want to make peace with yourself, you have got to love change. Change is life. If you are not comfortable with change, you have got lots of work to do. Why? Because you cannot live your life without change. If you do not like change, you do not like life. Change is not comfortable, but you cannot live without it. Change is not easy. We do not like to change, but we need change to move our lives forward. So if you really want to face change, here are what you should know:

If you want to change your life, do not underestimate the power of change.

According to Wheeler L. Baker, “Never underestimate change. What seems simple at the top is magniofied at lower echelons and is extremely disruptive.” If you are really thinking about changing anything in your life, do not rush. Because change is harder than you think. It is not going to happen overnight. There is no such thing as overnight change. Change is a process, not a destination.

When it comes to change, when it comes to changing your life, you cannot change everything.

Do not worry about changing everything. Change what you can change. If you cannot change something, learn to live your life with it. Manage it. Do not ignore it. James Baldwin once said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced.” Just because you cannot change something does not mean you should ignore it. Do not ignore it. Just learn to live with it. If you can do that, life is yours.

If you want to enjoy your life, if you want to grow, if you want to succeed in your life, just know that things will never stay the way they are.

Do not expect things to stay the way they are. It is not going to happen. Things are always changing. So if you want to stay relevant, if you want to grow, you must embrace change. Because when you embrace change, change will always come to you. Do not fear change. If you want to live your life, change is the way. In the words of Bertolt Brecht, “Because things are the way they are, things will not stay the way they are.” Things are always changing. If you want to stay important, you must change with them.

4 Great Lessons For Living In The Moment

Life is all about enjoying the moment. If you are not living in the moment, you are living in the past. And to live in the moment, you have to appreciate it. To do that, you can start with these lessons.

Now is all you have.

“There is only one thing in your life you can be sure of. That one thing is this moment, now. “- Barry Long

Now is all you have. Do not worry about your past. Do not worry about your future. Just focus on what is in front of you right now. If you can do what is in front of you right now, you can take care of the future. You can do it. Focus and see what happens.

Live in the moment. Enjoy it. Celebrate it.

“The present is the child, and the necessary child, of all the past, and the mother of all the future.”- Robert G. Ingersoll

If you can take care of Now, your future will take care of itself. Why is that? Because whatever you are doing right now is taking care of your future. What you are doing right now is feeding your future. If you are not working right now, it is never too late to start working. Why not now?

Now will later be your past.

“The slow one now will later be fast as the present now will later be past.”- Bob Dylan

The past is gone forever. Do not worry about it. Just focus on where you are, what you are doing, and how you are doing it. The future will take care of itself.

Control yourself, not time.

“You fail to understand… .We do not control time. If anything, it controls us. We simply measure it.”- Michael Moorcock

Life is huge! The only thing you can control is yourself. You can’t stop time from ticking, but you can control your life. Time is the distance that turns hate into love, that unhappiness into happiness.
