How Much Do You Want What You Want?

You know what you want, right? If you know what you want, how much do you really want it?

Do you want what you want because you want people to like you, or do you really want what you want for yourself? Think about it.

The only way to enjoy what you want is to want it for yourself. If you want something for other reasons, you won’t enjoy it.

Your goals have to be your goals. Don’t go after anything because people want you to do it. Do it because you like it. Do it because it makes you happy. Do it because it is bigger than you. Do it because it is really what keeps you going.

Do it if you want it. But don’t do it because everybody is doing it. You are not here to pursue other people’s dreams. You are here to do your own things.

Dr Joseph Murphy said, “How much do you want what you want?” If you want your dream to come true, don’t play with it. Throw yourself into it to make it happen. Don’t just talk about it. You must do the work.

If you really want what you want, you must commit yourself to it to make it happen. If you don’t do that, it means you don’t really want it. Do you really want what you want?

You are here to express yourself, not to suppress yourself. Life is about expressing it. If you are not expressing your life, if you are not living your life to the fullest, it means you are suppressing your life.

Are you expressing yourself? If not, why not?

To do that, to express yourself, to live your life, to do your things, to take charge of your life, according to Shunryu Suzuki, “It is a big mistake to think that the best way to express yourself is to do whatever you want, acting as you please. This is not expressing yourself. If you know what to do exactly, and you do it, then you can express yourself fully.”

You can’t live your life if you don’t know how to play your own game. As the old saying goes, “Life is a game.” If you want to win the game of life, you must know how to play it. You must know when to rest. Because in the game of life, resting is important. If you don’t rest, you will lose your game.

Success starts with knowing what you want. You can only pursue what you know. You can’t win the race of life if you don’t know what you are chasing. To win, to win big, you must know what you want, what to do, how to do it, and when to rest. Go for it!
