When Life Throws Things At Us

For as long as you live your life, nothing is going to be perfect. Do not expect what is perfect from something that is not perfect. Do not expect people to be perfect. And do not expect yourself to be perfect.

Because it is not going to happen. if you want to experience life, a real life, you must forget about being perfect. You must stop talking about creating a perfect world. You must stop thinking about working with perfect people. It is just a dream that will never come true. It is a goal that will never come to fruition.

If you are seeking perfect things from imperfect people, you are just kidding yourself. If you think you can make it happen, then try it. Try it and see what happens.

Maybe you can do it. Maybe you can’t do it. Who knows? Whether you think you can create a better world or not, you are right.

But that is not how life works. Life tests people. For as long as you are here, life will always throw things at you that you can’t stand.

When that happens, life is asking you to step up, to wake up, and to start moving. When life throws things at us, life is asking us to start creating things that we thought were impossible.

When life throw things at us, life is asking us to get back up, to wake up, and to start challenging old beliefs.

When life throws things at us, life is asking us to do more than we are doing now. Life wants us to look at ourselves and say, ‘We will succeed, no matter what.’

If you want to create a better self, a better life, and a better world, you must be willing to absorb whatever life throws at you. If you can, you can win.

The question is, ‘Are you willing to face life?’

‘A Better You’ Versus ‘A Perfect You’

Let us start with these questions: Are you working hard to improve yourself? Or are you working hard to perfect yourself?

Know it or not, that is what we do every day. We just want to be perfect. We want to look great every day. We don’t want to grow, but to be perfect.

If that is you, you still have a long way to go. You still have a lot of work to do. Why is that? Because, my friend, what you are seeking is not possible. Because what you are looking for is exhausting.

It is not possible because we are human beings. We are not here to be perfect, but to grow, to learn. It is also not possible to achieve perfection because when we are perfect, there is no room for growth anymore. Then we start to decline.

But if you are for growth, then you are on your OWN right track. You have made the right decision. You have chosen the right path.

Why is that? Because life is about growth, not about perfection. When we are growing, we are learning. When we are growing, we are adding value to ourselves. And when we are growing, we are chasing our better selves. And that is what the world IS against. The world wants you to be who you are not, not who you really are.

If you want to be you, to be who you are, to create yourself, you MUST chase a better you, not a perfect you.

You are chasing a better you when you are trying things that you have not done before, when you are not scared to take a stand. You are chasing a better you when you are questioning your own assumptions, when you are challenging your old beliefs.

You are chasing a better you when you are asking the right questions about the world around you.

You are chasing a better you when you are not scared of making mistakes. And you are chasing a better you when you are comfortable with who you are, not who the world wants you to be.

A perfect you, on the other hand, is not possible. You are not going to be able to reach perfection. No one can reach perfection.

You are chasing a perfect you when you don’t admit your failures, when you are not comfortable talking about your failures.

You are chasing a perfect you when you think you are better than other people, when you are the smartest person in the room.

You are chasing a perfect you when you are not interested in learning anymore. And you are chasing a perfect you when you don’t seek help from other people.

Which side are you on? Whichever side you are on, to grow, you must challenge yourself. And to challenge yourself, you must be willing to make mistakes.

Know this: challenges make growth possible. Perfection makes growth impossible.

The question is, Are you chasing a perfect you? Or are you chasing a better you?’
