If Your Friends Don’t Like You For Who You Are, Change Them

We need people around us, but we don’t need everybody. You need lifters around you. You don’t need downers around you.

If the people around you are not lifting up, they are putting you down. If they are not making you happy, they are making you unhappy.

If they are eating you alive, change them. Do not follow the crowd, follow yourself. You are good enough for yourself. Give yourself what you are expecting from other people. Because no one can give you what is within you.

Choose your friends wisely. Bad friends can stop you from growing. In the words of Thomas S. Monson, “Choose your friends with caution; plan your future with purpose, and frame your life with faith.” If you want to live well, you must choose your friends wisely.
