“Men are disturbed not by things, but by the view which they take of them.”– Epictetus
“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”- Epictetus
You can’t stop things from happening to you, but you are in charge of how you react to it. When things happen to you, don’t focus on the problems, focus on the solutions. When things happen to you, focus on what you can change. Don’t waste your time on what you cannot change.
It is not what happens that matters; it is what you do with what is left that matters. If you want to grow, you must let go of your past disappointments. Do not carry disappointments in your heart. You are better than that.
You can’t change your life by holding on to your past disappointments. If you want to experience your true life, you must do something to change your life.
