The Power Of Self-Care

“We take care of ourselves by lightening up and not being so damn hard on ourselves.”– Cleo Wade

Are you taking care of yourself? If yes, keep doing it. But if no, what are you still waiting for? Don’t wait for anyone to take care of you. Do it yourself. Be bold. Believe in your power to do it. It doesn’t matter where you are, if you are really committed to making your life a masterpiece, you can do it. Don’t “sweat the small stuff.”

You can take care of yourself by focusing on what is important to you in your life. You can’t take care of everything, but you can take of what is important to you in your life. Don’t stress yourself over what you cannot take care of. If something is beyond your power, don’t sweat the small stuff. Just do what you can to take care of yourself.

When you are down, get back up. Focus on what makes you happy. Try to do things that help you feel better about yourself. Don’t let people treat you badly. If you want them to treat you with love and respect, you must tell them how you want them to treat you. According to Dr Phil McGraw, “We tell people how to treat us.” Treat yourself with love. Don’t let anyone put you down. When you make a mistake, don’t beat yourself up, learn from it. Do what makes sense to you. If you are okay with what you are doing, then keep doing it. It is your life.

Learn To Conquer Yourself

In the words of Ferdinand Foch, “The will to conquer is the first condition of victory.” To conquer other people, you must first conquer yourself. You must develop the courage, the power to face yourself. Find the courage to be your true self. Don’t pretend to be who you are not. Don’t hide yourself. Give yourself the power to pursue your dreams, to defeat your fears, and to conquer yourself.

When you are faced with a problem, believe in yourself, face it, and move on. Don’t cry. Don’t complain. The Scripture says, “All things are possible to him who believes.” Just keep learning to be what you really are. According to Henri- Frederic Amiel, “Learn to … be what you are, and learn to resign with a good grace all that you are not.” From now on, resign from treating yourself badly. Resign from pretending to be who you are not. Because life is not about pretending; life is about loving. Life is about sharing. Life is about doing. If you are not learning to be what you are, you are learning to be who you are not. That is scary!
