Trying To Be Better Than Yourself

It is okay to dream big, but you must do the work to make your dream happen. It is just a dream without action. And nothing happens without the right action. When it comes to growing yourself, you should focus on what is in front of you. You should not work to be better than others, but to be better than yourself. Growth takes time. You are going to be patience with yourself. Nothing happens overnight. Your dreams are not going to happen overnight. Don’t worry about what others are doing. Just worry about what you are doing. If you have the courage to focus on your work, on your life, you will be better than yourself.

“Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Don’t bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.”– William Faulkner

Allowing Yourself To Leave A Smoky Room

A “smoky” room is not for you. You are better than living in an environment where you cannot grow. Your purpose in your life is to grow. Your purpose is to live your life in your own way. If you are not living it, do something about it. The first place to start is to live your smoky room. Leave your comfortable room. Don’t stay there if you are not comfortable with yourself anymore. Don’t pretend. Don’t deceive yourself. It hurts to live in a place where there is no growth.

If you don’t leave, you are holding yourself back. If you don’t leave your smoky room, you are limiting your growth. If you don’t leave your smoky room, a place where there is no life, you are just existing. If you don’t leave your smoky room, know this: The quality of your life will be determined by your smoky room. Change is hard, but important. If you don’t change your smoky room now, when are you going to start living your true life? You can’t live it if you don’t change your smoky room.

Food for your life:

“If the room is smoky, if only moderately, I will stay; If there is too much smoke I will go. Remember this, the door is always open.” Epitectus
