If You Really Want To Be Happy, Do These 4 Things Every Day

Happiness is not what you get from people, it is what you give to people.

You can find your own happiness within yourself. It comes from how you feel about yourself. You cannot be happy if you feel really bad about your life.

“Happiness is not what you get from people, it is what you give to people.”

To sustain the happiness within you, you must take action. You must hold yourself accountable for your own happiness. You must not wait for people to make you happy. You must act now by doing the following every day:

Focus on what is important to you. It does not matter what it is that is important to you, focus on doing it. Don’t engage yourself in a rat race. Focus on the things that can change your life. The more you focus on what is important to you, the better you will feel about yourself and your life.

As John Dewey once said, “To find out what we are fitted to do, and to secure an opportunity to do it, is the key to happiness.”

Expect change every day. The first step to a better and happier life is to expect and embrace change in your life. Whether you know it or not, we are changing every day. Do not resist change, embrace it. Instead of trying to resist change, find a way to understand it, and how to cope with it. That is the only way to a better life.

Focus on the good things that are happening around you. A lot of people are not happy today because they focus on the bad things that are happening around them. If you want to be happy, focus on what is positive in your life, in your work, in your relationships, and ignore what is not working. Focusing on what is not working will make feel bad about your life. If you focus on negative things, you will continue to bring in negative things into your life. To be super happy, focus on light, not darkness.

Always make yourself and other people happy. Give people a beautiful smile. Don’t frown your face all the time. If you do, people will not want anything to do with you. Make people laugh. Make them happy. Help them find the happiness within them, and they will help you find yours.

“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.”- E.E. Cummings

Your happiness does not depend on other people, because you are responsible for your OWN happiness.

If you are waiting for people to make you happy, you will wait forever. Because your happiness is your responsibility, not their responsibility. No one can make you happy, but you.

If you are not happy with your life, don’t blame anyone for it. Blame yourself. Don’t wait for the government to make you happy. Don’t wait for other people to make you happy.

Take actions to change what you do not like about your life. Only action can change your life, not inaction. Take actions for things to change. If you don’t, no one will do it for you.

To be really happy, just go out there and make things happen. Don’t allow things to happen to you, make things happen for you. If you allow things to happen to you, then you are not in charge of your life.

Christian D. Larson said, “And it is the bringing forth of being through the act of doing that produces happiness that is happiness.”

No matter where you are now in your life, things are not always going to be going your way all the time. No matter what happens, the way you respond to it will make all the difference.

If things didn’t go your way, don’t give up. Don’t make excuses for why things did not go your way. If you fail, start again. If you don’t know what to do, find something important to do with your time.

Don’t waste your time. If you waste your time, you are wasting your life. Life and time cannot be separated. If you value your life, you will do everything in your power to use your time wisely.

As Carl Sandburg once said, “Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.”

In other words, if you want to be happy, really happy, use your time wisely.
