“You are wise when you know what to ignore.”

What does it really mean to be a wise person? Is it about knowledge? Is it about wisdom? Or is it about how you live your life? Or is it about what is important to you?

According to Don Miquel Ruiz, “You are wise when you no longer act against yourself. You are wise when you live in harmony with yourself, with your own kind, with all of creation.” You can train yourself to become a person of wisdom. All you have to do is to change how you make certain decisions. You are wise when you are responsible for your decisions. You are wise when you know what is important to you in your life. You are a person of wisdom when you know what you want and you go for it with all your might. That is what wise people do. They don’t live their lives based on other people’s opinions. They live their lives based on their own opinions. You are wise when you choose your path, pursue your goals, and rise up again when you are knocked down. Don’t worry about where you are, worry about where you are going. Because where you are going matters more than where you have been. Trust yourself, work yourself, and your life will take care of itself.
