The Power Of Hanging Out With The Right People

If the people you hang out with are not making you, they are breaking you. If the people you hang out with are not contributing to your life, they are taking away from your life. So choose your friends wisely.

Yes, we can’t live alone. We cannot succeed alone. We cannot do important things alone. But instead of hanging out with the wrong people, meaning people who are not adding anything to your life, it is better to work lone. It is better to be alone than with the wrong people. It doesn’t make sense to me! As Marilyn Monroe once said, “It’s better to be unhappy alone than unhappy with someone…” If you want to be happy in your life, hang out with happy people. If you want to be successful in life, hang out with successful people. If you want to do great things, hang out out with innovators, with thinkers, with developers.

You don’t need everybody around you. You need people who are going somewhere around you. You don’t need people who are going nowhere around you. If you do, you will end up nowhere. In the words of Brian Tracy, “If you want to be a successful person, associate yourself with positive people. Associate with people who are optimistic and happy and who have goals and who are moving forward in their lives. At the same time, get away from negative, critical, complaining people.” If you can do that, no one can stop you from achieving your goals.
