‘No’ To What Is Hurting You, ‘Yes’ To What Is Helping You

It is time to take care of yourself. It is time to say ‘No’ to what is hurting you, and ‘Yes’ to what is helping you. You need what is helping you, not what is hurting you.

Reject that voice that is telling you what you cannot do. Reject that voice that is beating you up anytime you make a mistake. Reject that voice that is stopping you from moving forward in life. Reject that voice that is preventing you from taking care of yourself.

Mencius said, “He who attend to his greater self becomes a great man, and he who attends to his smaller self becomes a small man.” That is right. If you want to be successful in life, you have to position yourself in a successful position. If you want to be great, you have to do great things, think in a great way, act in a great way, and live in a great way.

Pay attention to what is helping you closer to your dreams. Stay away from what is hurting you. You could be the one hurting yourself. To check if you are not the one hurting yourself, measure your progress, check where you started, and check where you are now. If there is no progress, check what you are doing wrong. Listen to what you are telling yourself. Check how you are spending your time.

Do not let your inner critic stop you from living your life. Do not let your inner critic stop you from dreaming. If you are not dreaming, you are not living. Even if your inner critic is telling you what you cannot do, go ahead and do it anyway. Do not let your inner critic stop you. Face your inner critic and walk past it.

Your inner critic will always tell you what you cannot do, but do not stop pursuing your dreams. Just acknowledge it, but continue to chase your dreams. If you don’t listen to your inner critic, your dreams are within your reach. Go get them!

“Create Your Future From Your Future”

Where you are right now is as a result of what you did yesterday. Where you will be tomorrow will come from what you are doing right now.

Most people try to create their future from what happened to them yesterday. You can only create your future from what you are doing right now. Your future depends on today, not yesterday.

The question is, What are you doing right now? How are you shaping your future? Are you using your time wisely? Are you meeting with the right people? Are you taking the right courses? Are you challenging yourself? Are you doing the same thing over and over again?

You will reap what you sow. You will reap what you plant. If you plant great seeds, you will reap great fruits. If you plant bad seeds, you will reap bad fruits.

Spend your time wisely. That means, do the most important things first. Do the last things last. Don’t try to do what you like to do. Do what will make you a better person. Do things that will make you a better father, brother, sister, friend, neighbor, student.

Don’t live in the past. Live in the moment. Don’t try to create your destiny from your mistakes, weaknesses, or failures. Create your future from the things you are doing right now. Werner Erhard said, “Create your future from your not from your past.” It is okay to think about the mistakes we made yesterday, but it not okay to live in the past. The more you do that, the more you will miss the opportunity to move forward in your life.

If you want to move forward, if you want to create a great future, a future that is worth celebrating, you must create it from the future. You must create it from what you are doing today, not from what you did yesterday.
