Focus On What Matters

Focus on what matters. Many people are not successful because they spend their time focusing on what is not important. They spend their time focusing on what will not move them from where they are to where they want to be. What a waste of time!

When you focus on what you want, and not what others want, your vision will be clearer to you. Your vision is where you are going. You can only get to where you are going by focusing on what you are doing now, where you are now, and who you are now.

If you want to be successful in life, in your career, you need to focus on what you are doing and where you are going to. Don’t let people talk you out of your dreams. Don’t let people dilute your dreams. Don’t let people mess up your goals.

If you focus, success will come to you. If you are not focused, it will be difficult to achieve success, because you don’t know what you want.

“Focused people don’t give up, they persevere.”

To check if you are still pursuing your dreams, always ask yourself, “Am I moving toward my goal?” If you are not moving towards your goal, it is time to re-evaluate yourself and your actions.

Find out what you are good at and pursue it with all your resources- financial, talent, social, and psychological resources. No matter how hard, no matter how difficult your goals might be, stick with it. Do not give up. It is not going to be easy, and it will never be easy. Embrace failure, because failure is going to be a major part of the journey to success. Don’t procrastinate. Whatever you are doing, finish it today, not tomorrow.

Focused people don’t give up, they persevere.

Getting There Vs. Staying There

It is not who gets there first. It is who stays there. It is easier to get to where you want to be in life than to remain there. Success is fluid. Success is dynamic. Success is in motion. Success is not static. You have to keep chasing it. It is a process, not a destination.

The most successful people are scared of one thing: “They don’t want to be poor again.”

That is why they do everything in their power to maintain their wealth. You can do the same, too.

It is easier to get there than to stay there. If you want to stay successful, you must change your strategy. You must change your mindset. If you want to get different results, stop doing the same old things that got you to where you are. Albert Einstein famously said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Lots of people fail to stay where they are because they lost focus. They forget how they got to where they are. They forget who they are, what they care about, and what is important to them. Instead of focusing on personal and professional development, they got carried away by what other people are doing. What they are doing is no longer interesting to them. They think their friends are doing better than they are. They think their friends are ahead of them.

I have good news for you: it does not matter who got there first. What really matters is how you got there. Life is all about getting there versus staying there. It depends on you.
