Do Not Rush, But Do Not Forget What You Want

‘Never be discouraged because good things get on so slowly here; and never fail daily to do that good which lies next to your hand.’- George MacDonald

If you know what you want, if you are going somewhere, then take your time. Do not rush, but do not do it forever.

Great things take time, but they don’t take forever to achieve them.

Like or not, whatever is taking you forever to achieve is not for you. How long do you think you still have on earth?

Why do you want to spend the rest of your life with something that is lifeless, that is not working, that is dead? Why?

Instead, why not move on to what is right in front of you. We don’t see what is in front of us because we are after what is on the other side of the fence. Guess what? There is nothing there.

What you have right now is what you need to get to your next level. If you do it well, your next level is possible. If you do not do it well, your next level is on hold.

Do not put your greatness on hold. We do it every day. We put our lives on hold when we are waiting for what is not there.

Instead of doing, we are just hoping. If you want to do be successful, hope is not a strategy.

Hope is great, but you must do the work. Do not wait for what is not there. Instead, take what you already have and turn it into what you are waiting for.

Instead of waiting for your dream job, why not turn what you are doing right now into what you are waiting for?

If you want to be succeeful, it is not what you are doing that matters; it is how you are doing it that matters.

Be patient, but know what you are doing. Know what you want, and know when to say, ‘enough is enough.’

2 Ways To Reach Your Goals

Before you set your goals, know this:

‘Setting goals and reaching goals are not the same. It takes a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation factors to stay on track.’- Julia Pimsleur

If you want to be successful in your life, it is not enough to set goals. Why is that? Because success starts with you.

If you do not know who you are, your goals don’t matter. They are meaningless.

You will achieve your success if you know yourself. You can make your goals happen if you can face your life.

To achieve your goals, according to Julia, you must ask yourself who you want to Be, then start doing the things that that person would Do, and if you take massive action around the Do, soon you will have the things that person would Have.

You are your own master. You are in charge of your life. If you want to change it, you must do something. Remember, nothing is going to change if you do not act.

Success follows action. If you want success, you must take action.

Don’t hide from failures. If you want to achieve your goals, you have got to be willing to fail. If you are not willing to fail, you are not willing to succeed.

In his book You Are Awesome: How to Navigate Change, Wrestle with Failure, and Live an Intentional Life, Neil Pasricha writes, ‘Moving through failures is the real success. … The failures and losses are part of the process for anyone who is willing to try.’ The question is, ‘Are you willing to try?’
