The final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands

You build your character by what you do every day. You build your character by how you handle the things that happen to you in life. Your character is who you are. You can have everything on earth, but if you lack character, you have lost everything. Your character is your foundation upon which everything is built. If you lack character, everything will collapse.

Your character is how you treat people, how you handle things, how you carry yourself, and how you view the world.

Let us look at what great minds have said about character. Anne Frank said, “Parent can only give advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands.” Be careful what you do every day, because whether you know it or not, you are building your own character. Jim Rohn said, “Character is built by how you respond to what happens in your life- whether it’s winning every game, losing every game, getting rich or dealing with hard times.” It does not matter what you are responding to, if you don’t respond well, you are building your own character. If you treat people in a terrible way, you are building your own character.

If you want to have a great character, always do the right thing. When you act right, you will live right. When you act wrong, you will live wrong.

Your character is you. You are your character. Don’t joke with it!

Chaotic Times

As Margaret J. Wheatley put it, “The things we fear most in organizations- fluctuations, disturbances, imbalances- are the primary sources of creativity.” They are.

As human beings, we need chaos to survive. We need chaos to know who we are, what we can do, and what is important to us. Without chaos, without trouble, we cannot grow. We can’t make new things. New things come from chaos.

When in trouble, instead of mourning, crying, frustrated, get up and design a way forward. If you sit down and collect your thoughts, there are many ways forward. When you are going through difficult times in life, focus on the opportunities ahead of you, focus on growth, not on problems. If you want to grow, don’t see chaotic times in your life as a challenge. It is not a challenge, but an opportunity.

Whatever it is that you are going through in life, see it as an opportunity for you to live differently, work differently, and love differently. It is not meant to destroy you, but to make you stronger.”

Chaos is not a problem, but an opportunity to grow. Take it, learn from it, and move on.
