Imperfection

If you want to be perfect in life before you do something, you are going to wait for ever. It is not going to happen. No one is perfect. You don’t have to be perfect before you start something. You have to start to be perfect. If you don’t start, how can you be perfect?

If you start today, you will be perfect tomorrow. If you don’t start today, you will be imperfect tomorrow. I have never seen anyone who mastered something before they start. They start to master it.

You won’t be perfect every day, and when you stop trying to be perfect, you’ll end up better in the long run.”- Lindsey Pollak, the author of Becoming the Boss

To do great things in life, focus on what you can do. Don’t focus on what you cannot do. If you do, it will suck up your energy. Focus on what you can do well, and use it to your benefit. People don’t do something because they focus on their flaws. They focus on their weaknesses, on their flaws, on their mistakes, or on their disappointments. If you focus on your imperfection, you are killing your creativity. To be creative, you have to allow yourself to make mistakes, to be imperfect, and to be who you are.

You don’t have to be perfect before you start something. You have to start to be perfect.”

If you want to be perfect, don’t see your imperfection as a problem. See it as a chance to get better at what you do. Nobody is perfect.
