Humility Is…

In their book, The Creativity Cure: A Do-It Yourself Prescription for Happiness, authors Carrie Barron and Alton Barron write,

“Humility is not assuming you know more than you do, or that you are grander than you might be. It is being at peace with the fact that you need to learn some things. …

Humility is about being your True Self, deficiencies included. Humility is acknowledgment of your True Self, admitting who you are and what you do and do not know.” Humility is being comfortable with yourself.

Do not separate yourself from your True Self. No matter what, stand up for yourself. And do not present who you are not. Because you are better than that.

Stop Focusing On Who You Are Not

“Stop focusing on what you don’t have, and shift your consciousness to an appreciation for all you are and all that you do have.”- Wayne W. Dyer

To see what you have, to enjoy what you have, to celebrate what you have, you MUST stop focusing on what you do not have. Stop worrying yourself about what other people have.

Appreciate your life. Appreciate your health. Appreciate your soul. Celebrate your life. Do not bring yourself down. Do not even try to do what you do not enjoy. Why? Because you are not going to be happy with yourself.

Do not forget that “the purpose of our lives is to be happy.” If you are not happy, it is because your focus is not on what you have, not on who you are, not on who you are becoming, but on what you do not have, on who you are not.

Be happy. Do what makes you happy. And you will find happiness within.
