Why a true friend? No matter who you think you are, where you are, what you are doing, you need a true friend. You need someone who is not afraid to tell you what you need to know, hear, and do. A true friend is who you need in your life, if you want to grow. Don’t ignore your true friends. Love them. Accept them. Celebrate them.

To really understand why you need a true friend in your life, here is what William Penn said about it: He said, “A true friend unbosoms freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues a friend unchangeably.”

A true friend:

  • Will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear
  • Will enjoy life with you without fear
  • Will be there for you when you need him or her
  • Is not in a hurry to get things done
  • Will always fight for you
  • Will continue to be your friend, no matter what.

You need a true friend. Stop celebrating those who are not celebrating you. Stop praising those who are not praising you. You must let go of your false friends. They are not helping you. If you really want to help yourself, you must create a space for your true friend to come in. If not, you will continue to praise those who are not praising you. Do not do that!

What Is The Greatest Glory In Living?

The greatest glory in living is to live your life. It is not to focus on what you cannot do. It is to live your life and live it well.

The greatest glory in living your life is to be comfortable with yourself. If you are comfortable with yourself, with your life, with who you are, there is nothing you can’t do.

You are going to fail in life. Everything is not going to be nice everyday. Sometimes it is going to work against. Sometimes it is going to work in your favor. No matter what happens, take it. It is not always what happens that hurts us; it is how we handle it that hurts us.

When you fail, get up. When you fall, get up. When things are not working for you, don’t quit. Try to understand why it is not working for you. Maybe you are doing something wrong, maybe not. If you quit, you will never know what you are doing wrong. Nelson Mandela said, “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

The greatest glory in living your life is how you handle yourself. Because if you don’t know your true self, you will be unable to explore life. Self-knowledge is the beginning of life. Know yourself to know others. That is the greatest glory in living your life.
