John Cage said, “I can’t understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I am frightened of old ones.”

Are you chasing new ideas? Or are you keeping your old ideas? What do you when someone gives you a new idea? Do you ignore it? Or do you explore it?

You have what it takes to explore new ideas. If you don’t explore new ideas, how can you make new things? If you don’t explore new ideas, how can you create a new path for yourself? If you don’t explore new ideas, how can you create new things? It is possible. Old ideas are good, but new ideas are better. Old ideas got you to where you are now, but they can’t move you forward. So, if you want to do new things, if you want to meet new people, if you want to renew your ideas, you must let go of your old ones.

To let something good into your life, you must let go of something bad. I am not saying that old ideas are bad. They are good. But they can’t help you get to where you want to go. Only new ideas can get you there. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, Every act puts the agent in a new position.” In your case, every idea puts you in a new position.

If new ideas are so good, why are people so scared of new ideas?

People don’t like new ideas because they don’t know what to do with it. They are scared of where the new ideas will take them to. They don’t want to explore a new place. They don’t want to leave where they are. They are okay with what they are doing. They don’t want people to talk bad about them They want to look smart. They don’t want to look stupid. Believe me, if you are not ready to look stupid, if you are not ready to make your own mistake, you are not ready to grow. You can’t grow if you are not ready and willing to accept new ideas.

New ideas generate new things. Old ideas generate old things. If you want new things to happen in your life, you must pursue new ideas. Don’t let fear take your ideas away from you. If you do, you will regret it. Are ready to embrace new ideas?
