Follow what you want. Follow what will make you happy in your life. If you are in a place that is not supporting you, if you are in a place that is not making you happy, that is not contributing to your life, that is even stealing from your life, if you love yourself, if you want to grow, you must leave.
The question is, ‘When is it right to leave a toxic place? It depends on what you want to achieve in your life. It also depends on what is going on in your life. If you are financially stable, then don’t waste your time. You need to run!
If you are not financially stable, if the job is paying you well, meaning you can take care of your family, then you must plan your exit carefully.
Do not rush your way out. If it is really bad that you can’t do it anymore, then you must consult with yourself, with your soul.
Whatever you are going after in your life, try to make it your own. That is because no place is perfect. If you think you can make where you are better, why not try?
I am not say that you should endure abuse from anybody. That is not what I am saying here. Please don’t get me wrong. I am for you. I am not for a toxic place, a toxic boss.
But always try to work things out. If you can work it out, why not? That is better than running around.
But if you have a bigger, better plan, then you can make your move. But do it with respect, if you can.
Because you never know what is going to happen in the future. You never know what life has in store for you. You never know where God is going to position you.
If a place is unbearable for you, don’t destroy the bridge before you leave.
Whether you are leaving a place or not, people are always your best bet. If you can connect with them, connect with them. If you cannot connect with them, then move on.
