Your future starts with self-belief. If you believe in your future, with determination, focus, and hard work, you can get it done. You can have it.
Don’t just talk about what you want, do something about it. If you really want to create a better future for yourself, it is not enough to have a dream. It is not enough to talk about it. It is not enough to read about it. And it is not enough to think about.
You must do something about it. If you do not convert your thoughts into actions, you are not going anywhere.

Surround yourself with great people.
‘Some people are like clouds. Once they are gone, it’s a beautiful day.’ Do not forget that you are partly responsible for what is going on in your life. If you do not like what you are seeing, then you can change it. You have got to start with yourself.
Personal change is not about other people. It is about you. And to make it happen, you must surround yourself with great people. You need lifters, not downers.
Do not limit yourself.
You can do more than you are doing right now. If you don’t believe in yourself, it is hard to take on more assignments. But that is not to say that you can’t do more. You can.
To know what you are capable of doing, focus on what you are doing. Do not take on more if you are struggling with what you are currently doing. You are not going to succeed.
According to Nelson Mandela, ‘Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do.’ Before you say no to something you haven’t done before, why not try it?
Always focus on what is next.
Even when the game is over, don’t declare victory. Why is that? Because life is about learning. Life is about doing more. And life is about challenges. Yes, it is okay to enjoy your success, but do not forget that you still have a lot of work to do.
If you want to keep winning, you must focus on the next thing. In the words od Dan Rockwell, ‘Never declare victory before the game is over. Celebrate progress. Focus on the next play.’
Do not aim for perfection.
You are setting yourself up for success when you focus on making progress, when you focus on doing your best work every day, when you focus on improving yourself every day, when you don’t focus on being perfect. ‘When you aim for perfection’, according to Dan Rockwell, ‘you always fall short.’ If you want to be successful, don’t focus on being prefect, but on making progress.
Never stop learning.
If you are not adding value to yourself, you are not learning. When you learn more about the world around you, you will know more about yourself. If you do not learn anything, you are reducing the world around you.
Take even your smallest acts seriously.
When it comes to your growth, when it comes to your progress, nothing is too small. Do not underestimate the power of the little things that can change your life forever. Whatever you are doing, big or small, take it seriously. Why is that? Because success can come from anywhere.
