To rediscover your real self, according to Phillip C. McGraw, “You must be willing to challenge virtually every single aspect of your life, including the reality that you may be wanting and pursuing things that simply aren’t right for you.”
Change your story. If you can change your story, your life will change. What you are telling yourself is not what you are supposed to be telling yourself. It is wrong to limit your life. It is wrong to tell yourself false stories. Stop living in the past. Stop believing in your own lies. Let the past go away. You have nothing to do with it right now. You are no longer living there. You are now enjoying your life in the now.
Living in the past won’t help you grow. It will hurt you. It will make you weak. It will keep you where you are.
If you don’t like what you are getting right now, you have the power to change it. You do that by first changing your thoughts. If you can change your thoughts, you can change your life.
You are here to grow, not to waste your time. And to grow, you must challenge yourself. You must question yourself- the life you are living now. And you must focus on what makes you happy. And if you are not doing the right thing for yourself, stop it. If what you are doing is not helping you, don’t be scared to stop it. Do not be afraid to stop what is not lifting you up. If you don’t, you only make things worse. Do you want that?
