When you think positively about things, when you think positively about challenging situations, you are of to a good start in life. You need to think in positive ways if you are to breakthrough in life. Positive thinking is the medicine for the soul. When your soul is healthy, you are healthy.
The question now is, “why is it difficult to stay positive?”

To stay positive, to see opportunities where others see problems starts in your mind. It comes from how you view the world. The people you have been hanging out with. If you hang out with negative people, people who see only negative things, you will start to think and act like them. On the other hand, if you hang out with positive people, you will start to think and act like them.
People are not positive in their lives because they focus on negative things, instead of focusing on positive things. They focus on what is wrong in their lives. They focus on what is not working for them. They see darkness where others see light. They road block where others see opportunity. They see impossible where others see possible. They think in “Can’t” ways instead of thinking in “can” ways. They think others are better than them. They believe others have no problems.
People who are positive maintain a positive mindset. They think and act in positive ways. They believe that nothing cannot be done if you are committed to getting it done. They see problems as opportunity. They work hard to improve on what is not working for them, and appreciate what is working for them.
No one is problem free. We have all experienced terrible things in our lives. If you want to maintain a positive state of mind, do the following things everyday: focus on what is working for you. Think positively about things, remove negative or self-defeating thoughts from your mind. Be grateful for what you have, and keep working to improve on your weaknesses. No one is better than you. No one is like you.
It takes time to change your mindset from negative to positive state of mind. But if you keep doing it every day, for the rest of your life, you will be a positive person. Just do it! Remember what Wade Boggs said about a positive attitude. He said, “A positive attitude causes a chain reactions of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results.” It allows you to do more things than people thinking in negative ways.
