The Purpose of Life. What is yours?

According to Ralph Waldo Emerson, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and live well.” What an amazing definition!

So what is yours?

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and live well.”-

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Your happiness is your OWN responsibility. It is in your own hands. You can make yourself happiness by doing things that will make you happy. Make room for your happiness to grow and expand. We believe that what is happening to us is responsible for our happiness. But that is not true. We are responsible for our own lives- including our happiness.

If you want your happiness to stick, you must fight for it. It is not going to stay without a fight. To do that, you must value yourself. You must value yourself to fight for your happiness. Why is it important? Because your happiness depends on you, not on what you have. So if your happiness depends on you, you must value yourself. You must value yourself to find your happiness. You must love, value, and trust yourself to find your happiness.

Ayn Rand said, “Learn to value yourself, which means: to fight for your happiness.” Yes, you must fight for your happiness to keep it. Are you ready?
